Classic Timber Frame

This classic timber frame project features a structure that is hand cut from solid West Coast Douglas fir timbers. A traditional design featuring steep vaulted ceilings with classy timber trusses and curved support posts, every detail in this home exudes elegance. The timber framing is done in a traditional mortise and tenon joinery with oak peg connectors. The front window system is a solid Douglas Fir curtain wall.

An interesting feature of this home, the stair and railing system is integrated in the to the timber frame design so everything looks like it is an integral part of the house. The solid Douglas fir stairs and railings were pre-cut in our shop along with the timber frame before shipping to the remote site for raising. This approach ensures fast and efficient installation on-site, which is imperative for remote projects.
